DAYDREAMERS REMINISCE OVER 28 YEARS
DAYDREAMERS REMINISCE OVER 28 YEARS
2016 saw many DayDreamers returning to DayDreams, in some cases their 23rd or 27th year travelling with us on board Cevri Hasan III. A wonderful programme of gulet holidays took us around the Dodecanese islands between Symi, Tilos, Nissyros, Kos, Leros, Patmos, Samos and Kalymnos. Blue skies, constant sun in tranquil bays and quiet villages provided us all with perfect days exploring on shore. Very few tourists to be seen in spite of a peaceful atmosphere in this region. It brings back memories of the early days of tourism when DayDreams set up gulet holidays in this region.
“This guest book sometimes isn’t kind, when looking at old photos, but it is kind with the memories of Turkey. Without DayDreams and Jenny’s knowledge of the history, we would know nothing of Turkey and her people (who are very welcoming). Age has the benefit of taking the edges off bad memories sometimes and stacking up the good memories. It must be the influence of the boat (thanks to Mustafa and your various crews). The food this time has been excellent (it has often been very good). A chapter closes and that must be sad for everyone but just remember how much pleasure has been created over the years”. “A first holiday on a gulet. Fantastic ! Great new friends and much laughter. We were properly looked after by the crew and Jenny’s knowledge , history and especially the archaeology really made the holiday. Thank you”. David and Wendy Gliddon from Somerset
